Colombia only produces washed Arabica coffee. This coffee comes from the small town of Pitalito, in southern Huila in the Valley of Laboyos. It is shade grown by many small family farms who each produce a limited amount of coffee. This coffee comes from the small town of Pitalito, which is at the foot of the Andres Mountains.
The valley itself lies at about 1,300 meters above sea level. All the surrounding mountains grow coffee, with a per-farm average of 6 hectares and about 5,000 trees per hectare. The soil is volcanic, providing lots of organic nutrients for this high-altitude coffee.

Pitalito Estate Colombian coffee has a medium body, excellent aroma and balanced acidity.  That makes this medium bodied coffee a rare treat, combining an excellent aroma with caramel and fruit flavors. The result is a very smooth taste that is sure to satisfy your taste buds.
